1. Find and examine first hand accounts of military members who served in the Korean War. Do these accounts jibe with the information the students found in their research? If possible invite a Korean War veteran to visit the classroom to talk about their experiences. OR Have the students interview Korean War veterans and prepare an oral history form the interview - interviews can be written, audio or video taped.
2. Have the students compare and contrast textbook and history book coverage of a specific event with newspaper accounts and other primary sources.
3. View a documentary on the Korean War and have them critique the program or segment of the program.
4. Have the students read a novel, several poems or short stories about the Korean War. When they finish they should critique it based on historic accuracy and how well it captured the essence of the Korean War or the portion of the war covered in the work.
